Since adolescence, Amber has dreamed of owning her own business—a vision she brought to life with the founding of The Modern Tax Firm. With over a decade of experience in public accounting, Amber began her career in 2015 as a tax associate, and through dedication and expertise, she later advanced to the role of tax manager.

Amber enjoys getting to know her clients and is committed to developing lasting professional relationships. She strives to be a trusted advisor who supports clients at every stage of their life.
When Amber is not working, she enjoys baking, reading, painting, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Lancaster, PA with her husband Brent and their 3 cats.

Enrolled Agent (EA)​​

An Enrolled Agent is a federally-authorized tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and who is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the IRS for audits, collections, and appeals.
​​
​Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can practice before.
​
To become an EA, candidates must pass a three-part test, apply to the IRS, and pass a background check. To maintain licensure, they must complete 72 hours of continuing education every three years and adhere to ethical standards.
